Successful weekend for MFCC

There were lots of MFCC racers in action this weekend riding Road Races, Time Trials and MTB. Wins came from Anne Murray racing SXC Round2 at Cathkin Braes and Fraser MacBeath in the Dunfermline Road Race. Adding to the points from Anne’s win was a 2nd place for Gregor Grant and 7th for Brian Nicholas. MFCC was sitting 9th out of 44 teams after round 1 (Forfar) on the Scottish Cross Country series leaderboard, we might climb a few places after the great results from this weekend have been added up! It’s not unusual these days to see MFCC having the largest team at a road race and this was again the case for the Dunfermline Road Race. A 7-man team, including young Thomas Deas riding his first road race, went down to represent MFCC. The race was won by Fraser MacBeath with Callum Finlayson just behind in 6th place. Full results here. Saturday’s road race obviously wasn’t hard enough for Callum Finlayson as he was back down on Sunday for the Mackie Tankard 25 mile time trial. Finishing 3rd behind Silas Goldsworthy and Alan Thomson on another windy day. A great result up against a strong field. Well done to everybody wearing a Moray Firth top this weekend!...
