Membership and Kit

Moray Firth Cycling Club has had an average of over 100 members over recent years of all ages and abilities, from those competing at international and national level events to others who simply enjoy riding with a group.

We encourage prospective members to come and try out a session prior to joining, particularly if you haven’t been a member of a cycling club before. You do not need to be a member in order to try out a group ride (with the exception of the summer Thursday chaingang), please find the information on the current schedule here. We would ask you to read the information about safety and etiquette prior to joining a club ride.

A frequently asked question is ‘Am I fit enough?’ – this can be quite a difficult question to answer. Different club rides are at different speeds. The Sunday ride as a good introduction, as no riders are dropped and the groups are a moderate, consistent pace. If finishing a 30 mile ride as a group would be a ‘best effort’ for you, you may require more fitness to ride safely with other members.

MFCC prides itself on providing a welcoming atmosphere to prospective and new members, and we have enjoyed a significant increase in the number of female cyclists joining the club and taking part in events over recent years.

You can join the club by filling out the form here.
